Digital vs analog sound

We are going to explain the differences between the two types of audio; analog and digital. Both of this signals transmit information through electric signals.
analog efers to audio recorded using methods that replicate the original sound waves. Vinyl records and cassette tapes are examples of analog mediums. Digital audio is recorded by taking samples of the original sound wave at a specified rate. CDs and Mp3 files are examples of digital mediums.
one of the differences is that in analog technology, information is translated into electric pulses of varying amplitude. In digital technology, translation of information is into binary format (zeros and ones) and each bit is representative of two different amplitudes. The waves in each signal are not transmitted the same, in analog there are sine waves and in digital, square waves. Digital is represented discontiniously and discrete and the other continiously.
